The final field and barrier draw has been released for the 2011 Doomben 10,000 that will run this Saturday May 28, 2011.

Just nine horses have accepted to be a part of the final field, despite 17 horses remaining in the mix after the second round of acceptances.

“I’m just a little concerned about his mental aspect,” McNair said.

“He’s not as happy as he was when he arrived (in Brisbane).

“I know the horse that well; he’s a little more anxious than normal.

“He’s picking at his water bucket.

“He pulls the hay out of his hay net and is spreading it in his box.

“He normally doesn’t do those sorts of things.

“There’s just a few little things.”

In further horse racing news, jockey Glyn Schofield has recovered from his broken collarbone injury to ride Hay List in the 2011 Doomben 10,000.

Also included in the 2011 Doomben 10,000 final field is dual Stradbroke Handicap winner Black Piranha.

Black Piranha finished fifth in the Group 1 BTC Cup in his first run back this preparation and will be second-up in the 2011 Doomben 10,000.

The talented seven-year-old has been unable to secure a win since the Stradbroke Handicap last year and will be looking to rectify that in this Saturday’s race.

Black Piranha has been allocated barrier four for the 2011 Doomben 10,000 and will be ridden by jockey Hugh Bowman.

Love Conquers All will be attempting to finally win a race after finishing second in four of his past five races this preparation.

The four-year-old Mossman entire has been allocated barrier five in the 2011 Doomben 10,000 and will be ridden by jockey Chris Munce.

The 2011 Doomben 10,000 final field also includes Tracey Bartley’s Sniper’s Bullet, Peter Snowden’s Beaded, Grahame Begg’s All Silent and Robert Heathcote’s Buffering.
