Delectation is yet to find peak condition this time, but should relish a step-up to 1350m, will leave from the ideal barrier 2 and will be partnered by James McDonald in the 2016 Doomben 10,000.

Capping an impressive 2015 campaign with a maiden win at the highest level in the Group 1 Darley Classic (1200m), Delectation returned for fifth in the Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes (1000m) this time but failed to beat a single runner home in the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) on March 12th.

Placing seventh in the Group 1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) on Day 1 of The Championships, the Shamardal gelding is sure to have taken plenty of benefit from his last start eighth in the Group 1 BTC Cup (1200m) a fortnight ago.

Hooked is a proven first-up performer and could very well receive the run of the race in the Doomben 10,000 from the ideal barrier 3.

Placed in Group 1 feature races multiple times through his twenty-nine careers starts so far, Hooked resumed during the 2015 spring for an impressive win over classy company in the Group 2 Tramway Stakes (1250m) on September 5th.

Having trialled well in the lead-up to her competitive return, Hooked will be partnered by in-form hoop Jim Byrne in the Doomben 10,000.

Azkadellia will make her Brisbane racing debut in the Doomben 10,000, and whole charged with overcoming the outside barrier, will carry a very-manageable 57kgs.

Ending her impressive spring campaign third in the Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m), Azkadellia returned this time for second in the Group 3 Bellmaine Stakes (1200m) before savaging the line for success in the Group 3 Mannerism Stakes (1400m) on February 27th.

Running a pleasing second in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m), the Shinko King mare ran on for third in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) before breaking through for an impressive Group 1 victory in the Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) on Day 2 of The Championships.

Two Blue (barrier 9) and Scarlett Billows (barrier 5) figure as the only other mares in the 2016 Doomben 10,000 field, while Stuart Kendrick has confirmed Divine Centuri (barrier 8) as the field’s sole filly.

Hong Kong-based hoop Zac Purton returns to the saddle of Fell Swoop for the 2016 Doomben 10,000 and will leave from the ideal barrier 1, while Peter and Paul Snowden-trained stable mates Dothraki (barrier 6) and Charlie Boy (barrier 4) have both drawn well.

The Bjorn Baker-trained Music Magnate completed the 2016 Doomben 10,000 field and will leave from barrier 7.
